Using the sustainable material developed by Takihyo Co., Ltd. (Head office: Nishi Ward, Nagoya City; President and CEO: Kazuo Taki), a textile trading company founded in 1751, based on the “NO WASTE PROJECT” concept, Graniph Inc. (Head office: Shibuya City, Tokyo; President and CEO: Akihiko Murata; hereafter Graniph ) and MUSTARD™ HOTEL SHIMOKITAZAWA (Location: Setagaya City, Tokyo; hereafter MUSTARD HOTEL Shimokitazawa), a culture hotel in Shimokitazawa operated by GREENING Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya City, Tokyo; Director and CEO: Masato Sekiguchi) have created and launched a new collaboration line. The items have been available at Graniph stores since September 18, 2025.

Overview and Features of the Products and Initiatives
This project marks the second collaboration between Graniph’s popular original character Beautiful Shadow and MUSTARD HOTEL Shimokitazawa, a well-known hub of culture. The partnership expands across unique accommodation experiences and exclusive merchandise. The special collaboration products offered exclusively through this project use sustainable materials, such as recycled polyester and recycled cotton, which were developed based on Takihyo’s “NO WASTE PROJECT” concept.
In addition, the BEAUTIFUL SHADOW ROOM, a limited-time themed stay at MUSTARD HOTEL Shimokitazawa that was well received during the previous installment, will once again feature goods made with our sustainable materials. Whether in everyday life or during a memorable hotel stay, these offerings are designed to enhance the value of each guest’s experience.

Future Outlook
Going forward, we will continue to actively promote “co-creation” with a diverse range of partners across different industries. Through our environmentally conscious material-solution proposals, we aim to keep creating new value that enables consumers to participate in building a better future in an enjoyable way.

■What is the NO WASTE PROJECT?
The NO WASTE PROJECT is a loop system built on the concept of “Don’t wasting anything.”
This project helps reduce environmental impact by creating a circular process: fabric offcuts and used clothing are broken down into fibers, re-spun into new yarn, and then transformed into fresh fabrics and products. Depending on the item, we use cotton yarn for turning these recovered fibers into new products, as well as polyester yarn produced from fabric waste or recycled plastic bottles.
