Regarding the "Barbie" apparel products offered in the domestic market under a License Agreement with Mattel International K.K. (USA Headquarters), Takihyo held a school uniform design contest in cooperation with Bunka Fashion College (Address: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo Principal: Mr. Atsushi Onuma) and announced the award winners on January 26th.

One of the marketing themes of Barbie, "You Can Be Anything" fit in with our wish to support students aspiring to become designers at Bunka Fashion College, thereby prompting us to call for entries of summer and winter versions of school uniform designs for middle and high school girls. Out of 130 applicants, 10 were selected as the award winners.

On April 4th, 2017, a runway show of the award-winning creations along with the awards ceremony are scheduled to be held at the National Yoyogi Stadium as part of the "Cinderella Festival Vol.4".

This event, the biggest in Japan for female high school students, started in 2014 and is full of fun projects such as auditions, live shows by special guests and work experience booths.
